Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on Friday called on relevant agencies to diversify capital resources for power projects to secure the supply of this fuel for the country’s socio-economic development.
The order was made in a bid to address capital shortage for a number of power projects, which have recently been put on delay matter-of-factly.

Resettlement and compensation for site clearance have also posed barriers to hinder power plants from operating on schedule.
Meanwhile, electricity price is still low, making it less attractive for investors.
Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai said that the power projects to be carried out under IPP, BOT and even BOO formulas will increase in number and the Government will reduce the number of State-funded power projects as much as it can.
He urged the Ministry of Trade and Industry to quickly draft and submit to the Government a plan on mobilizing capital for electricity production.
