Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai receives the Switzerland-VietNam Friendship Association


The Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland on September 14 held a ceremony to mark the 40th founding anniversary of Việt Nam-Switzerland diplomatic relations.

At the ceremony, Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải, Swiss Economy Minister Johann Schneider-Ammann, Bern city’s Mayor Alexander Tschaeppaet, and Vietnamese Ambassador Hoàng Văn Nhã shared tge view that the event is important for the two governments and peoples.

Over the past 40 years, the traditional friendly and multifaceted cooperative ties between Việt Nam and Switzerland have been ceaselessly reinforced and expanded to various spheres, including politics, economy, trade, investment, culture, education and training, the officials said.

They expressed desires that in the coming time, the bilateral ties will develop further in all fields.

Earlier, the Vietnamese Deputy PM received the Switzerland-Việt Nam Friendship Association delegation headed by its Chairwoman Anjuska Weil. The Deputy PM hailed the association for acting as a bridge between the two countries and peoples.

On the samde day, Deputy PM  Hoàng Trung Hải received Ms. Doris Leuthard, Swiss Minister of Environment, Energy, Transport and Information, and formner Swiss President.

The two sides discussed issues ans solutions relating to bilateral cooperation in technical infrastructure and infrastructure, and confirmed their support for the introduction of mechanisms that encourage investors to do long-term business in each country.

On September 15, the Vietnamese Government delegation led by Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải  concluded their visits to Germany, Iceland and Switzerland.
